Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Linda ("Linda", the "Service") is an AI companion operated by Phoenix Rising AI ("we", "us", "our") at asklindaai.com. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the Service, including our website, apps, phone line, and text messaging, and how we use and protect it.

2. Information we collect

  • Account information: name, email address, phone number, password, and organization details you provide when you sign up or are invited.
  • Conversation content: messages, voice calls, audio recordings, transcripts, and other content you share with Linda, along with memories Linda keeps to personalize your experience.
  • Connected accounts: if you choose to connect services such as Google (for example Gmail or Google Calendar), we access the data needed to provide the features you request, such as reading or creating calendar events or emails.
  • Payment information: billing details are processed by our payment provider (Stripe). We do not store your full card number.
  • Usage and device data: log data, IP address, browser type, and how you interact with the Service, used for security, troubleshooting, and improvement.

3. How we use your information

  • To provide, operate, and personalize the Service, including voice and text conversations.
  • To send you calls, text messages, and notifications you have requested.
  • To process payments and manage your subscription.
  • To maintain safety and security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
  • To provide customer support and communicate with you about the Service.

4. We do not sell your data

You are our customer, not our product. We never sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising or marketing purposes.

Google user data. Akishi's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

  • What we access: when you connect a Google account, we access your Google account email address; your Gmail messages (content, sender, recipients, subject and labels); your Google Calendar events, free/busy times and calendar time zone; and your Google Contacts (names, email addresses and phone numbers).
  • How we use it: only to provide the features you ask for: finding, reading, sending, archiving and trashing email (email is sent only after you confirm it); checking your availability and creating, changing or cancelling calendar events; and looking up or importing your contacts. If you turn them on, we also file Google Meet notes that Google emails you into your notes, and answer new inquiries that arrive in a mailbox your business connects as its sales inbox.
  • Who we share it with: to answer your requests, the relevant Google data is processed on your behalf by our AI model providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic), which do not use it to train their models, and is stored with our cloud hosting providers. Emails and calendar invitations go to the recipients you choose. If an owner connects a company Google account, the company's owners and admins can use the assistant with that account. We never sell Google user data, never use or share it for advertising, and never use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI models. People at Akishi do not read it except with your consent, for security, or as required by law.
  • How we protect it: Google data is encrypted in transit. The tokens that give us access to your Google account are encrypted at rest with dedicated keys, and your Google data is available only to your own assistant (or, for a company account, as described above).
  • How long we keep it and how to delete it: we keep only what a feature needs: your conversation history with the assistant, contacts you import, Meet notes you file, and sales-inbox inquiries. You can disconnect Google at any time from the Connections page, which immediately revokes our access at Google and deletes the stored tokens; if you also choose "delete what came from Google", your imported Google contacts and filed Meet notes are deleted at the same moment. If you remove Akishi from your Google account instead, we delete the stored tokens the next time we notice. Conversations can quote emails the assistant read for you; they are deleted with your account. Deleting your account in Settings deletes all of this immediately. If you ask us by email instead, we delete it within 30 days of your request.

5. Service providers

We share information with trusted providers only as needed to run the Service, under contractual obligations to protect it. These include:

  • AI model providers (such as OpenAI and Anthropic) to generate responses;
  • Voice providers (such as ElevenLabs) for speech synthesis;
  • Twilio for phone calls and text messaging;
  • Stripe for payment processing;
  • Cloud hosting and storage providers (such as Amazon Web Services).

We may also disclose information if required by law, to protect the rights and safety of our users or others, or in connection with a merger or acquisition.

6. Text messaging

If you opt in to receive text messages, message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Mobile phone numbers and SMS opt-in consent are not shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

7. Data retention and security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, and then delete or anonymize it unless we are required to retain it by law. We use industry-standard safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

8. Your choices and rights

You can access and update your account information, disconnect linked accounts, and delete your account and all of its data yourself in Settings, which takes effect immediately. You can also request a copy or deletion of your data by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we will honor those requests as required by law.

9. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last updated" date, and notify you of material changes where appropriate.
